Mem 2.0 Dev Update #7: What We Love about Mem 2.0

In this update, we’re sharing what members of the Mem Team are most excited about in Mem 2.0, coming later this year.

Kevin Moody, Co-founder and CEO
Where do I start? AI aside, I love the little things we've gotten right in the interface. I love how all of the note margins are clickable in the editor, so I can quickly get my cursor where I need it. I love the responsiveness of the new app and how the whole layout dynamically adjusts to any window size, even tiny ones (I call this “squishability”.) Oh, and I love the design changes we made to make the collections label consistent and prominent across the whole app. It really ties everything together visually.

Priscilla Mok, Lead Designer
I’m excited about our brand new editor, especially how easy it is to move text around. The editing experience feels way more intuitive and I have greater control over the way I write and format my notes, so I can shape my notes exactly how I want. It’s a huge step up in usability.

Tarek Al-Mouhtasseb, Software Engineer
I’m really happy with how reliable Mem 2.0 feels. For example, now, any note you add to a collection is immediately reflected and synced quickly across all your devices, making it easy to keep everything organized no matter where you are.

Alex Tsai, Chief of Staff
I’m most excited about how fast and snappy Mem 2.0 feels, no matter how long a note is. Even when editing my 10-page running to-do list, Mem 2.0 remains performant and reliable. There’s no lag — everything happens instantly. I also love the look of the new formatting toolbar in Mem 2.0. Here’s a sneak peek, featuring long-awaited tables.

Maile Pedersen, Customer Success
I love the layout and design in Mem 2.0. The new sidebar is a great way to stay organized and see all my recent content at a glance, making it easy for me to jump back into what I was last thinking about.

Greg Solo, Software Engineer
I’m most excited about smarter Chat in Mem 2.0. Chat now has a much richer, contextual understanding of your knowledge. Its responses are much more comprehensive, and its ability to synthesize information has improved significantly.

This wraps up our seventh installment of Mem 2.0 development updates, where we share the details on what to expect when Mem 2.0 arrives later this year. In case you missed it, you can read our last Mem 2.0 development update about Mem Copilot, the evolution of related notes in Mem 2.0.
