Humans of Mem: Capture and Use Any Thought, Big or Small
This week, we sat down in person with Andaman Lekawat and Thakorn Swaengkit, long-time Mem users and data scientists at an energy management startup.
They shared how Mem supports their diverse workflows, from work tasks to personal reflections, and highlighted their favorite features that have become essential to their day-to-day note-taking.
“I use Mem for both my work and personal life. Every day, I record a journal entry about what I did, both at work and outside of it,” Andaman shared.
Because Mem has a deep understanding of Andaman’s daily activity, Mem is a powerful reflection tool that helps him uncover patterns and gain insights into his routines.
“I keep a record of everything I do, so I asked Mem Chat to analyze my work over the past six months to understand where I was spending most of my time,” Andaman said. “I asked, ‘What kind of tasks do I spend the most time doing?’ and Chat helped me analyze my time management.”
Thakorn also uses Mem as his daily driver, taking notes on everything from meeting minutes and book summaries to research papers and personal career planning.
His favorite tool is search because it enables him to easily retrieve and make use of any piece of knowledge he’s saved, even images.
“I pasted a screenshot of a diagram of a company’s business model into a note, and I was able to easily find it again via Mem's image recognition and search.”
Mem enables him to save information in any form without worrying about how it should be organized.
“I trust search to surface information when I need it,” Thakorn said.
Both Andaman and Thakorn value Mem for its simplicity.
“Unlike other note-taking apps, I don’t have to think about where a note should live, and I don’t need to create a complex organizational structure in Mem,” Andaman shared.
This allows him to focus on capturing ideas without the cognitive load of maintaining a complicated organizational system.
“I love the flow of capturing information in Mem. You can just record anything, anytime with ease," Andaman shared. "In other apps, I feel like I have to fill up an entire note or document. With Mem, even a single sentence I jot down feels valuable."
Andaman and Thakorn trust Mem to capture every thought — no matter how big or small — so Mem can help make the most of their ideas.
